Charlotte Weiss is a sixteen year old girl whose world has just been flipped upside down, all around and smashed into a miserable mess. With her family now 'deceased from an untimely car accident', Charlotte is now left to pick up the pieces, finish high school, learn the ways of the family business (a world class biochemistry and experimental sciences lab) and recover from the recent traumatic events. 
When things can't get any worse, or so Charlotte thinks, she stumbles upon a portal to a whole new world and lands in a strange country named Amestris where she meets the Elric brothers.
