When society was forced to adapt to a disappearing atmosphere, people found themselves with strange, unexplainable powers. But, when a group of people came together to form a new government to replace the old incapable government, they introduced a plan to recreate the atmosphere. When it worked, the same group created a serum called Genetix to remove the powers society was given so that they could never be overthrown. But, what happens when the serum completely backfires on specific people within the population?

For Madilyn, the consequence of that mistake plays a huge role on every aspect of her life...if you could even call her unknown existence to all except her brother a life. Yet, the walls of safety that had been so carefully built around her tumble down when a group of government guards follow her brother back to their hidden sanctuary one night. Scared and completely alone, Madilyn must figure out how to survive in a world full of people she cannot in any way relate to. Staying hidden only becomes harder when you take in her appearance. How long can the blue haired girl hide?
