As a lone brother and sister pair, Tyler and his younger sister Megan are forced to survive. The hardships of the "grown-up" world, the dark reality of drugs and alcohol, the loneliness and cruelty of teenage social problems hits them with its full force.
The world isn't kind to strangers.
This is a story written a little differently. It's a story of a brother and sister and the hardships they face. The dynamics of their relationships with each other and the people around them. The whole story is written in the form of notes and diary entries. I wrote it to tackle issues that I see every day. Things I've encountered with my friends, and things I see in the lives of strangers. The world is harsh and cruel, and in our conditioned reality where we only see what we want, we can end up being cruel towards someone who's pain we don't understand.

I was close to dying if not from my sister. I went from bitches at school to my alcoholic, addict abusing mother. Then my best friend decided he wanted stop be part of the crew that cries for me to give me another reason to live. I didn't want another one but...it feels nice. The story is told through the main character, Joel, as he recalls events from his childhood and how he and his brother, Blake, escaped the nightmare of their Mother's drug fuelled abuse. After escaping their abusive home and life of neglect Blake takes on the role of a parent and supports his younger brother through High School but as Joel tries to keep moving forward his past begins to hold him back. As Joel loses focus on his future he resorts to deceitful and aggressive behaviour that begins to put a strain on the brothers close relationship. Blake tries desperately to keep his brother from going down a self destructive path as they both struggle to deal with the demons of their past but will it prove to be an impossible task? --MATURE CONTENT WARNING--Complete
This couldn't get any worse

Sometimes, I'm not always sure what to do. I feel like I'm always wrong, like I'm never good enough. I'm invisible and it's as if I don't exist. If I really didn't exist, I don't think anyone would care. I'm all alone in this great big world, I'm lost. Maddie has never been good enough for anyone. Her perfect sister, Megan, always manages to outshine her. Her father never pays attention to her, because he's always worried about Megan. Every Tuesday and Thursday, Maddie goes to group therapy, where she shares her feelings. Every week it's the same thing, until Maddie gets a new lab partner: Zach Williams, every girl's dream date.
