This story is my idea of what a metroid movie would be like. The story is largely a retelling of Metroid Zero mission but with some of the backstory from the manga and Other m aswell. "Space pirates have stolen valuable cargo from the Galactic Federation. In retaliation the Galactic Federation have hired a bounty hunter to retrieve what was stolen. A Cyone (cyborg-like) bounty hunter goes on a routine job only to find that she has become the bounty. A mysterious rival becomes her greatest threat and escaping him will cost a heavy price.

Metroid Extinction is the sequel to Samus Begins and once again takes its key plot points from the games, this time from Metroid II Return of Samus and Metroid Samus returns.
