25 year old Chloe Kitembo is not studying to be a lawyer or a doctor or an engineer like her African parents pressure her to be. Instead she's an aspiring makeup artist. She's completed nursing school, and tried that job out for some time before realizing she liked slaying highlights much better than cleaning bed pans.

She meets Keith Powers, CEO of Powers Enterprises and unlike most, is not impressed. She evidently loathes men. Chloe has not only seen his million dollar company but also his sexy 6-pack abs featured on the covers of various magazines. He is one of the most influential people in New York let alone the country. She agrees he's both handsome and charming but doesn't see much more. However, she can't seem to avoid him like most men.

Keith has a girlfriend of about a year, but once he catches a glimpse of his African queen, he refuses to let her go. Literally...
