Sometimes when you are born supernatural a mutation forms in your DNA, causing you to have more than one supernatural trait. It's only happened one other time in the history of the world, and it's said that if one drinks the blood of a person with the mutated DNA, it makes you immortal. Zella Smith has this rare mutated DNA and it makes her extremely valuable to other supernatural beings. 
I promised myself I would protect her, I knew when I saw her she was different. And I vowed I'd never let anything hurt her.
