Searching For Solace

A story set in the time of the Great Depression.
Once upon a time there was a girl named Drew Lafyette, who was born into a family of farmers with a father, a mother, two elder brothers, and one infant sister. Every day Drew would tend to the horses in the barn as her brothers tended to the crops. One day, Drew's mother fled to California with the youngest sibling when the family heard tell of "the monster" taking back the land. Because of that, Drew's father and elder brothers stayed to protect the family farmhouse. Because of that, Drew's father and elder brothers died by "the monster's henchmen". Until finally, Drew was left alone, homeless, and was now out for blood.
