Gasps, shouts, surprise. I simply smile. Every year, same old reaction.
"Wow! I really thought you were seventeen like us! You're a freaking teenage mutant!" Zack commented, astonished. "Ninja turtle," he finished. Everyone around the table laughed. My amused smile turned into a sad one.
I knew, at that moment, that all my chances of going out with my crush were reduced to smithereens. Toast. Gone.
