Behind the neat exterior of the average South African home one would never expect to find what lies behind the door of the Valentines'. Michael is a spirit painter who bears the terrible weight of having predicted the worlds end. Deep in the dark recesses of his cellar lie a compilation of distressingly realistic paintings, of what is to come, what will never be and the scrawled script of a prophecy - a prophecy that intertwines his own son's fate with another, a girl, who is likely to be the catalyst for the beginning of the end.
