And I kiss him back. - This was my first HP fanfiction EVER. It's not great, but it's a quick, fun read I guess. What if Harry wasn't the golden boy everyone thought? What if his world of Hogwarts changes forever? Harry Potter was excited for school to start for his fifth year. Professor Umbridge arrives to the school and resorts everyone, and Harry...gets placed into Slytherin. This story will only follow a few things from the original book/movie. Umbridge is there, Harry still gets a lot of detentions from her, and his nightmares continue. Sirius will not die at the end of this and Harry and the rest of the gang don't end up going to the ministry. The world which is plagued by creatures of the dark. Humanity has since lost its war against these creatures, called Nayshards. These creatures greatly resemble humans, prowling the darkness and eating humans, sometimes wiping out villages in whole. Only a small handful exist, but big swords and thick armour stand no chance against their kind. Only the Warriors of Light exist to fight against them, but they are few and far between. Throw in Haruki Yamata, a plain teenager from Japan who was teleported here, and acquring the power of Light himself. Determined to get back to Japan, Haruki began his trecherous journey with those he could call friends, fighting wars and uncovering secrets, to reach the Capital, the one place rumoured to have a way back to his homeland.
