Being a girl who loves basketball with a passion is a hard life for Masami Fujioka. Coming back to Japan from America, she's allowed to join the basketball team at Seirin High only after striking a deal with her demanding father. Her side of the bargain is a bit tricky to uphold though. Balancing school life with ballet, piano, and basketball? She knows that the sport she loves so much will eventually be the death of her.

And honestly? Masami's not an ordinary girl. She easily led her team in America to victory without a hitch. Right before her brother passed away in front of her eyes, Masami made a promise to him - a promise that will change the future for everyone. But how can she when Japan is a country that frowns upon females playing basketball?

Tsukino Gina faced a complete change in lifestyle when her family moved from Australia and back to Japan. Not only does she have to adjust to the switch of speaking Japanese over English and start a school where she knows no one, Gina finds that she is no longer able to play the sport she was so passionate and talented at: netball. Now settled back in to life in Japan, Gina finds herself attending Seirin High. After some coincidental encounters, Gina finds herself crossing paths with Kuroko Tetsuya and Seirin's basketball team more and more often. At first, Gina is hesitant about the sport, since she has told herself that netball was the only sport for her. But once she starts to open her mind, Gina finds that maybe, basketball isn't all as bad as she made it out to be. *For those of you staring blankly at the word 'netball' and thinking 'what the heck is that' then don't worry - a full explanation of netball is provided!* DISCLAIMER: I do not own Kuroko no Basuke. That wonderful story belongs to Tadatoshi Fujimaki. I only own any unrecognisable characters
