"what do you do?" Dan asked to the boy who looked a little lost. The boy thought Dans smile was so unbelievable that he practically radiated excitement. 

"what do you mean?" The pale boy asked in response. He didn't have much of a clue as to what goes on at the circus.

"your act. what can you do for a performance?" Dan asked again, not impatient with the boy for being confused. 

"Oh, well... I'm not really sure." The blue eyed boy sighed. 

"Okay, we'll figure something out. come on!" Dan said, taking his hand and pulling him along. 

'I think im going to like the Circus.' The boy thought.

Well this one is the exact example. But they could always pretend.
