Carmen was just a 17 year old girl. She went to school, helped out with her niece, played sports, and had a job. But she was no ordinary girl. She could see things-hear things- that nobody else could. She tried to block them out, but the more she tried to ignore them, they became worse. They became so bad she couldn't handle it anymore.. Nobody knew the demons inside her were taking over till she finally cracked. 
Now Carmen has to figure out how to make it to heaven while battling her grieving family, not being able to talk or communicate with anyone but herself, and the other children like her who are stuck in the "in between".
