The One I've been waiting for (a Carl Grimes gay fanfic)

(This fanfic takes place during season 3) Lucas Thompson has been on his own for two years, he was part of a group for a few months, but it didn't work out. the camp was over-runned by walkers and Lucas was the only survivor. He lost his family and his friends that fateful day.
while Lucas was on his own he was robbed of all of his survival gear and was assulted pretty bad. He also nearly became a feast for the walkers because of his condition.
He did however come across an abandoned camp and searched for some food and some medical supplies to ease the pain from his injuries. However the moment he opened the can of food he found a dog came out of the bushes and sat down right in front of Lucas. Lucas felt bad for the dog and poured a quarter of the contents on the ground, but once that was gone the dog wanted more. This time Lucas refused to give the dog food, but when he did the dog knocked the can out of his hand and started to eat what remained.
Lucas quickly grabbed the can away from the dog, but when he did the dog latched onto his forearm.
It took a long time until Lucas freed his arm and when he did he killed the dog.
He searched the camp for something​ to patch up the bite mark on his arm, but had no luck. So now he's out searching for help and a group he can hopefully stay with.
