All of a sudden life's going great as siblings no longer call you names because you're short you're living the life cuz they're treated just like them your friends are nice Everything's going just great. I've gotten used to the dead parents face. I've gotten used to living with my gymnastics coach. I've even adjusted to sharing a bathroom with his way-too-hot son. Dealing with boys is not something that's made it onto my list of experiences as of yet. But here I am, doing it. And something about Jordan--being around him, talking to him, thinking about him--makes me feel like I can finally breathe again. That's something I haven't been able to do lately. He knows what it feels like to be me right now. He knows what it's like to wonder--what now? I think about it constantly. I need answers. I need to know how to get through this. In the gym, if you're struggling, you train harder, you do drills and conditioning. How do I work hard at moving on? At being on my own? Morgan Connor was a 16 year old gymnast and was one of the top competitors in the female division and pretty well known in the gymnastic world and had the medals to prove it. But when her dad's job transfers him to LA she's less than thrilled. Especially since one of the biggest thorns in her side at competitions is none other than Lance Tucker resides in LA and even worse her parents get her on at his coach's gym. Lance isn't her biggest fan either and now more than ever he's not her fan now that she's in LA. But when Lance and her share a night that had consequences she decides after some family drama she goes back to TN to her old coach. Then after near fatal injury ends her gymnastics career she was no longer in gymnastic circuit. All that time apart and no longer seeing her causes Lance to re think his life and with all the time apart that they had and are no longer competing against each other could a relationship between the two of them actually work.Complete

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! My real life experience with fiction added :) Returning from my six year hiatus with a new book....my bad.Complete
