2307.

That is the only name he has been called since he was taken by the Institution of Human Analysis and Experimentation as a small child, otherwise known as the Institution.

Now he is merely a plaything to the so-called 'scientists' who work there.

Subjected to endless experiments and horrific methods of torture in the name of science, he wishes he had never been born into this life of pain and loneliness.

But there is one prick of sunlight amidst the storm. The only reason he is still fighting. A beautiful brunette boy with striking turquoise eyes and a heart of gold. Dr Jaeger.

Or as he prefers to be called, Eren.

Since meeting Eren, he has struck up a friendship with him, since he is the only person who treats him as a human. Not an experiment. Now they are plotting to escape together and live a life free of the Institute.

The question is, how?

And will they even get there in the end?

The anime and characters are the property of Hajime Isayama, but the story is mine. The cover art (unfortunately!) is not my property, either.
