"I thought you didn't want me..." My heart shattered into a million pieces. I mean, it really felt like I was having a heart attack the way that the vital organ seized up in my chest. The pain in her voice made me want to carve the bloody thing out and give it to her. I set down the tattoo gun and moved so that I was in front of her and she didn't have to strain to see my face. She laid her head on her forearm and looked away from me, so I laid a hand on her cheek before kneeling down so that we were eye level. "Princess, it was never you. I let my own issues get in the way of what we had going on. You are perfect there's nothing I would change about you. I WANT YOU," I told her. Her entire body shook as she cried so that I had to physically lift her off of the bed and into my arms. Her hand clutched at my shirt as she sobbed and I held her tight. I rocked her and stroked her hair. "I'm sorry," she told me after we were sitting like that for a while. "You have nothing to apologize for anything, Princess. I'm the one who should be sorry about making you feel like that. It will never happen again," I told her. "If you give me another chance to do right by you."
