In a world where Artificial Intelligence and Robotics are the most powerful industries of the planet, things have taken a turn. The two industries have fused, creating a program to build the most realistic copies of living creatures. One such creation is Subject Beta, code-named "Dave Strider," a near-successful attempt to create an artificial human mind, the only flaw with Subject Beta's programming being the inability to autonomously feel emotion. 

Karkat was just there for "Take your Kid to Work" day. He got to tour the manufacturing plant, and see how the androids were made. He found a computer chip that would change his life in ways he couldn't imagine.

This story is heavily inspired by "His Synthetic Pulse" by Literallyjaney. Just putting that out there. It's pretty good, so go read it if you want.

I'm an artist with words, not book covers... Android Captain Lancieta Steegle, and an engineer from Earth named Mannie end up relying on each other for more than survival when a war is thrust onto the people of Earth. In a desperate attempt to deal some kind of blow to the Halgred, the Andromedian collective okayed a Shadow Operation to attack the Halgred Homeworld. The weapon was illegal, a bio-weapon designed to sterilize and weaken their almost otherworldly physiology. When this weapon is instead redirected to Earth by the Halgred King, Draconisis, those whom survive undergo a change. As they wake up, the people of Earth are greeted by horror of their new animalistic physiology, and for some, unimaginable abilities. The 20 or so surviving Androids of the once thousands-strong crew of the Dreadnought-Class battleship do their best to make amends and help the humans of Earth adjust to their new Bestial Planet and the even more dangerous intergalactic community. This story is "Complete" as in the last chapter was written and it's gone through about 3 re-writes and 4 rounds of editing since. Very few stories are ever finished, as we know, because there's always something we think can be or should be changed. However, I've learned that the best I can do is get it to the point where I feel comfortable with someone else reading it. Otherwise I'd never have posted anything anywhere.

A 16 -13 -1. Hank and Connor greet their partner with stress, and demands of perfection. Due to Sean being a project started by Kamski, there are somethings that set him apart from the normal android. There are multiple parts to his "mind" that come to serve his partners. Sean's primary directive is to serve, and assist these two in their investigations, but something deep inside of him has other plans. As Sean breaks from what he was made to do, he has to really find out what he is made of, and what he is going to do with it. ----- DISCLAMER: I highly recommend watching, or playing Detroit: Become Human before reading. Dave Strider x reader x Karkat Vantas.. Warning: this gets rather violent in some context, blood and gore is fairly frequent. Strong language too, but I don't understand why you need that warning if you got through Homestuck. Dave, Karkat and other Homestuck characters belong to Andrew Hussie. Story belongs to me. Lemon is in there, but you do not need to read it. It's not the best of lemons, it's just kinda ridiculous and stupid. Ps. In the early chapters I may say this is not a Karkat x reader. That was when I was still deciding whether or not this was in fact going to be a Dave x reader x Karkat. So don't pay attention to any of that, cause it is a Dave x reader x Karkat.

But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do? (this is my second fanfic and the first homestuck one i've ever written so if the writing sucks don't judge! also none of the art is mine. ships included will most likely be johndave at the beginning, and throughout the fic theres gonna be erisol, rosemary, some jadenep, johndirk, and vrisrezi! if you don't like one or more of these ships deal with it.)
