This is a story that I've been meaning to write for awhile now, it's not the best, but it's not the worst (hopefully)
The story follows John, a fairly generic Mage, with a generic name, and his meeting with Azira, a purple dragoness, and their journey through the land of Zarkadia, enjoy!

Elaine Rainier had a pretty clear picture of how she hoped her future would turn out. Fairy Primrose's dragon life had never been nastier. It was never supposed to be like this. She lived in the only town in all of Dragonista where the five elements could remain in harmony. There were occasional rumps and obstacles in her life, like how the five elements had never granted her their strength no matter how hard she tried, but those were far from raising her concern. Her life was free from adventures, and she was glad of that. But then everything changed. Something was stirring in the forest beside her home, threatening its inhabitants and the town dragons alike. Things only became worse when she learned that her un-awoken element seemed to be the key in defending everything she'd cared for from its deadly jaws. Fairy found herself thrown head-first into an adventure she never wanted. Even as she tried to dig deeper, she only received more mysteries. But she was hopeful. Every problem must have a solution, like how every story has to come to an end. Surely, she will easily find a way to find her element, make some new friends, and possibly claw out some hidden conspiracies. And after that, she would be able to return to her peaceful life once again. Silver Town will always be her home, and there was absolutely no way this small adventure will force her to leave it, or worse, kill her right on the spot. An attempt at a coup d'etate takes place after her twelfth birthday, and her father is assassinated under mysterious circumstances. An orphan now, she is brought to live in The Priory of the White Stones, a home for girls from families that have or had magic-bearing members. They are schooled to be concubines or wives that a noble family can acquire for their heir, because even if magic-less, they still carry the gene and have a fifty percent chance to bear a magic-yielding child. __________________ Mentions: Please don't copy and all that.
