Lacey has a life ruled by her Mother every moment and detail is planned for her. She goes to an all girls school and has very little for herself. When an old friend returns and she slowly starts falling in love something she is both unaware of and afraid of things start looking strange. A boy she hates tries getting her sent away and there is talk about a strange locket with a rare blue gem.
