When an old friend returns and she slowly starts falling in love something she is both unaware of and afraid of things start looking strange. A boy she hates tries getting her sent away and there is talk about a strange locket with a rare blue gem. Will Lacey find out the mystery of this locket and her world or will she be sent away before it is too late and what will she do about Will her best friend who might also be sent away and not to a nice place.
