The New Angel, Darkness's Kiss

A single light was directed at a lone figure on the podium. It illuminated her pale skin, black hair, and her enormous pair of feathered wings that resembled the night sky with the absence of stars. If she were to blanket Earth with them, shadows would have been casted across the land and night would have fallen. And that was her duty. To end the reign of the sun each dusk, and relinquish her power to it every dawn. An endless cycle, which she had disrupted.
