Aurora Ashur is an eighteen year old girl darkened by the death of her father. Cold, calculated, independent, she never saw herself becoming a productive member of society, especially up in space aboard Superior, a station created for those who had no choice but to leave a radiation soaked Earth along with its smoldering remains. But upon Superior's life-support systems now beginning to fail nearly one hundred years later combined with Aurora's criminal actions that have deemed her and other prisoners under the age of eighteen and yet to experience trial expendable, she now finds herself being sent to Earth nearly a century later along with one hundred and ninety nine delinquents who have little clue on how to survive. Soon upon landing, Aurora realizes very quickly that she must put aside her harsh nature and haunting past and step up to lead her people if they are to survive. Unfortunately, Aurora and her people are not the only ones already occupying the ground, these people dangerous, deadly, and in Aurora's opinion, nothing short of savage and barbaric. But their leader, an intimidating man by the name of Eadric who leads these people as their Commander, proposes a deal with her to unite their two clans. The only problem? Aurora fails to realize what exactly joining their two clans means, and it is this failure of hers that will lead her into a situation of dire consequence as she will have no choice but to sell her soul to the devil in an arranged marriage to the Commander himself.

A/N: Loosely based off the universe of the CW's show The 100. Characters are my own but many story elements and events are based off the show.

Some fates are worse than death--survival is one of them. In the two hundred years since humanity left the Earth's surface to live in the sky, life on the ground faded to a myth, a tragic memory from which they severed themselves to survive. They floated above continents turned to sand and lands swallowed by the seas, watched storm after storm rage against their cities and their monuments until they broke apart the last vestiges of civilization in penance for generations of human greed. As a lightning harvester charged with flying her ship into these storms for energy, Raina has seen more of the planet than most. She has spent her entire life soaring above its craters and scars, studying the gaping wounds of human devastation, as she honed her skills and became the youngest captain in storm-chaser history. Her ship has flown for generations. Her skills are unparalleled. But none of that matters the day they go down. ~ Praise for Earth, After: "I'm so not ready for this ending. "I feel the sun on my face...I see trees all around me..Scent of wildflowers on a breeze...It's so beautiful...In this moment ,I am not stranded in space.. It's been 97 years since a nuclear apocalypse killed everyone on earth, leaving the planet simmering in radiations. Fortunately there were survivors..Twelve nations have operational space stations at the time of the bombs...There's now only the Ark, one station forged from the many. We're told the Earth needs another hundred years to become survivable again. Four more space locked generations and man can go home...Back to the ground...The ground...That's the dream...This is reality and I am going to tell you the 100 sacrifices for the man to be back on ground. At first, we're told that we are going as a project. The question is...why us? Because we were criminals? On the Ark every law break was being punished with death...unless you weren't 18. The creazy thing is that you are punished for even being born. Truth was, we weren't a project, we were sacrifices. This reality sucks. However...let me tell you how sacrifices survived, starting with me...Coraline Murphy...Cora, for short. I am a twin, I have a brother older with 12 minutes..sounds strange to call him my twin...we do have the same hair color and eye color...But our personalities..? Not a chance, he's a jerk and I am the sunshine of the family...Or I was..Anyways, I still love him, we've been through hell together and he's my brother no matter what."

"Bell, I'm serious," I say, "I'm putting more trust in you then I have anyone else." Bellamy grabs my hands. I can't help but blush at the gesture. He leans in close to me. "And I will treasure it," Bellamy whispers, "I'd walk through hellfire to keep you." In that small moment, something comes to light. I like Bellamy, forever and always. --- Emery had a rough past, he father died when she was 6, her mother abused her all her life. Emery finally got revenge, the cost of it? Her life. On the Ark, when you commit a crime, even something as small as stealing, you will get floated, or sucked out into space. If you're under the age of 18, you're locked in the Skybox until you are legally an adult. Emery had been in the Skybox for 5 years, she turned 18 three days before she woke up with guards pushing her over to a dropship with 100 other delinquents. These 100 kids must learn to survive while they try and get communication with the Ark. They're faced with deadly weapons and deadly people. --- This is the first book in The King and His Queen Series. ALL RIGHTS GO TO KASS MORGAN AND CREATORS OF THE 100 TV SERIES/BOOKS. In the TV Series, Bellamy Blake is 23 when the 100 land on Earth, I'm not one for Freshmen dating Seniors, so I definitely am not comfortable with a 5 year age difference between Emery and Bellamy. I have decided that to ease my discomforts, I will instead follow the book's interpretation of Bellamy's age, which is 20. This story follows SEASON 1 of THE 100. Books will be separated into separate stories! - Highest (notable) rankings: #19 - The 100 (5/5/23) #1 - Griffin (3/19/24)
