You'll never have her!" I've never heard Rafe sound so determined. His golden hair shining in the dim light of the dusty, abandoned basement. His deep blue eyes filled with fury. I don't know what to think. Is his fury because of the bond? Or is my attraction for him making me see things? "We'll see about that," Xzavier's deep smooth voice sends chills of fear down my spine and sets my teeth on edge. Rafe's roar tears through the air as he lunges at Xzavier, changing as he goes. Xzavier's hiss's as his fangs tear through his gums. His shoulder length raven black hair, sickly white skin, and fangs causes me even more fear. They clash in a bundle of blond fur, teeth, and bone. The smell of blood mixes with the smell of rot. Blood. My gums tingle, my fangs wanting to burst forth. No. Not now. I can't lose control now. Though I have to help Rafe. And I can only help him if I give in to my hunger. So... I let it go. My fangs burst forth from my gums. Making me look just like the hideous creature that Xzavier is. "Get away from him Xzavier. Or I swear I will tear you limb from limb!" I hiss through my fangs. I see a flash of fangs among the golden fur. And then I hear a laugh that causes my blood to freeze. Just as crimson blossoms on Rafes back, where Xzavier drags his claws across. My vision goes red. I can't lose Rafe. He's the only person that doesn't think of me as a project.

Dive into the world of love and magic, any way you like to read. *** Sometimes love is the strongest magic of all *** Nineteen-year-old Rhia Greenbrook has lived in the sleepy town of Oakriver in a house with three generations of witches her entire life. Rhia draws her magic from the earth and likes to spend her time amongst plants and nature. Her practice is gentle, sacred, and-per her family's tradition-secret. New-to-town witch Valerie Morgan is looking for answers about her mother's disappearance from Oakriver seventeen years ago. Without her mother's guidance, Valerie has cultivated her fire magic on her own and she makes no effort to keep her powers hidden. Although Rhia is immediately annoyed by Valerie's blatant use of magic, she can't deny the instant magnetism between them. But amidst their magical connection, a dark presence looms over Oakriver. Unsettling visions from Rhia's grandmother and dangerous sleepwalking episodes throw into question Valerie's past and what role her presence plays in the strange happenings. And as Valerie gets tangled up further into the darkness, it's up to Rhia to tap into the full potential of her power in order to save the town she loves and the girl she's fallen for.
