After everything that happened, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with Nova. I told myself I needed to check on her and make sure she was okay. I pushed open her door, and the sight of her almost stopped my heart. She was sitting on the floor, her back against the bed, eyes unfocused, her hand shaking as she brought another pill to her lips. My pulse quickened. "Nova?" My voice cracked, louder than I intended. She didn't respond at first, just continued, almost robotic, taking more. I rushed to her side, grabbing her wrist and forcing her to look at me. The fear in her eyes wasn't something I had ever seen before-not from her. I wasn't ready for this, but now that I was here, I couldn't look away. "What the hell are you doing?" I demanded, my voice rougher than I meant. She didn't answer. Her breath was shallow, and she seemed so... far away. The confident, strong Nova I knew was gone, replaced by someone broken. Someone who needed saving. I knew I had to be here for her, no matter what. Nova Rae Westbrook Her life seemed perfect-beautiful, smart, and unbothered by the world around her. But the truth was, Nova was hiding more than anyone could guess. Beneath the smile and confidence, there was a darkness she fought alone, a pain no one could see. Alexander Xavier DeLuca Charming, British, and arrogant to the core, Xavier DeLuca had it all-money, status, and women. He was used to getting what he wanted, no strings attached. A notorious playboy who never stayed interested in one girl for too long. But beneath the smirk and the effortless charm was a man who was hiding his own battles. A man with many faces, none of them truly his.

On what seemed like an ordinary night in detention, twelve teens stumbled upon an ancient box in their school library. Inside lay twelve mysterious rings, each holding the key to unimaginable powers and a shared destiny. Long ago, chaos reigned under the tyrant King Azazel, who spread fear across the land. The people lived in silence, paralyzed by his cruelty. But hope emerged in the form of a wise wizard named Julius. Understanding that it was time to confront evil, he crafted twelve extraordinary rings infused with the essence of celestial signs-the constellations that had guided humanity for ages. Julius selected twelve brave souls to become THE ZODIACS-guardians destined to wield these rings against darkness. Each ring granted its bearer unique powers connected to the cosmos. When King Azazel learned of Julius's plan, he was furious. He vowed to destroy the wizard and his chosen ones. This declaration ignited a fierce war-a clash between light and darkness that shook the very foundations of Earth. The battle raged on for days, with spells colliding against dark magic. The Zodiacs fought valiantly, united by their friendship and purpose, refusing to give in to despair. Their bravery shone brightly against Azazel's overwhelming forces. In a climactic showdown, King Azazel was ultimately defeated and banished to a deep abyss where curses swirled around him. Though victorious, the Zodiacs faced a tragic fate; they vanished into legend, lost to time yet forever remembered for their courage. Even imprisoned, Azazel's malevolence lingered on. He vowed that one day he would return to unleash terror upon Earth again. Until that fateful day arrives, the twelve rings lay dormant-waiting for the next chosen twelve to rise up in this eternal struggle between good and evil.

"I never asked to be more than a pawn." Born with a grin that hides more than it reveals, Nine-once just Thalia, the forgotten daughter of the infamous Cheshire Cat-was never supposed to be a player. She was a pawn, a footnote, a loose end waiting to be cut. She never asked to be part of this game. But fate doesn't wait for permission. And now, whether she likes it or not, she's becoming something far more dangerous-an asset. Her father's unfinished war tightens around her like a noose, pulling her deeper into a world where power is bought with blood and lives are just numbers on a ledger. Her next move? Protecting a corrupt politician at an elite "tea party"-a front for a human trafficking auction where monsters masquerade as men. She should be disgusted. She should walk away. But if she wants revenge, if she wants justice, she has to play along. Nikki is fighting for the crown, and in her eyes, Nine is no longer dead weight. She's leverage. A tool. A weapon to aim at her enemies. And if Nine wants to survive, she'll have to decide: let herself be used, or carve out her own place at the table. But power struggles and betrayals aren't the only things lurking in the shadows. Something else is watching. A presence Nine can't explain, creeping just behind her thoughts, pressing down on her like unseen hands. It never strikes. It never speaks. It only waits. And somehow, she knows-it's always been there. The board is set. The pieces are moving. And as the weight of a thousand shifting forces presses down, enemies and allies blur into something unrecognizable. In a world where trust is a gamble and survival is a razor-thin line, even the unlikeliest of players may find themselves standing on the same side. "Cheshire Jr? Centre stage, my dear."

On her 18th birthday, Charlotte becomes a werewolf and her family betrays her, leaving her in the hands of the royal family. While she feels flattered that the Prince may have taken an interest in her...he is partially to blame for her new state of inhumanity. To keep the peace she must follow the plan set out for her and marry the Prince, play her part and ask no questions. She could learn to love him and conform...or not, but most importantly, even if she grows to love him, can she trust him? And even if she trusts him, is his family really the ones in control? *This story is somewhat my own origin story of how the traditional werewolf stories came to be. In the beginning, there was one Alpha and one alone...and in the beginning, he created them all in his image.* *Takes place in Medieval Times*
