The source of all this? Five boys who came to find each other. But there can only be one victor. It makes it harder when there's 4 other people that you'd rather see alive than yourself. It makes it harder if two of the five boys are deeply in love. Twenty-four tributes. Five friends. Two lovers. One winner.

A Tournament is held once a year, where 34 children between the ages of 12 and 18 from 19 Regions battle for a chance to be the sole Champion. It has been going on for almost a hundred years. It is a tradition at this point. Everyone accepts it as what it is. Then, one year, the rules change. Instead of children between the ages of 12 and 18, they make it adults between the ages of 18 to 35. With this change, a woman is selected: Mavery. Mavery's past is quickly brought to the forefront. A truth about a death everyone assumed happened 15 years ago of one of their Champions. She has been alive this whole time, trying to hide from her past that is now forcing its way into everyone's present. She will now have to show everyone the truth and face the consequences of her actions, both past and present. She will be forced to battle with her wits in a Tournament she knows will kill her, and she is almost content with that, content with the fact she can finally rest. However, the rest of the nation will not let her die and will bring her back to life, kicking and screaming. They will make her fight for others and herself. Follow Mavery as she deals with her past, present, and future. Life, death, fake smiles, a performance, beauty, promises broken and more kept, all of these things and more stand in her way of finding an ending she feels she rightfully deserves and wants.
The Revelation
In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. The major city is called Alancia and that is were Victoria lives. Her father use to be the Leader of Alancia along side with his wife and brother. Until one day his brother killed him in cold blood and locked Victoria up in a cell. When she turned 18 she was offered a deal. Each year Alancia holds a fighting tournament for public display. The biggest and the baddest fight in this tournament and barely make it out alive. She has to fight in this tournament and if she won she had her freedom back. If she lost she would loose her freedom once again. Victoria knows she can't pass up this opportunity up. Even though she would be reminiscing old memories And meeting someone who can ruin it all Whatever the cost is she is willing to fight.
