Then after a month or more of one-on-one sessions, they leave my office a reformed individual, a happy individual. Except that isn't what happens. Someone is killing my clients. The cops think I'm hiding something from them because I'm the only thing connecting the victims of this killer. How do I prove I'm innocent, and all I want is for the murders to stop? Then the anonymous envelopes start showing up. In each envelope is an item belonging to my dead client. The killer is reaching out. Alyssan Bogard didn't live a long life. She died when she was 17. All she remembers is waking up in her backyard. She has no memory of her death and only has a vague idea about what happened from what she's heard while lingering around her family and previous school. Alyssan has no idea why she's lingering around as a spirit and wants nothing more than to move on. That is until she meets Sawyer. Sawyer Garrison is the guy the teachers adore, who people want to befriend, and who girls want to date. He's the one who's been voted most likely to succeed in life after school. His family life is shit. Sawyer wants nothing more than to get out of dodge as soon as the opportunity presents itself and with only seven months, two weeks, and four days left it couldn't come sooner. That is until he meets Alyssan. Neither expected to meet the other and neither expected the horrendous outcome that arises from it. Alyssan never ran away and she didn't die of any natural causes either. She was murdered and the fact that her killer is still on the loose scares both of them. The fact that the killings started again is even worse. With the killer targeting more girls, she and Sawyer might be the only hope of stopping the deaths. However, remembering the events of her past might be too much for Alyssan to handle and with her time on the earth dwindling things aren't exactly looking good for them. * Cover done by VictoriaKaer

The Boarding House Horror by guywortheyauthor

A much-hated man is found dead, his face twisted into a rictus of horror. Young Inspector Visser can't stand the sight of blood or death, so this case was destined to be a struggle, even before a storm hits. The death occurred in an isolated boarding house on Pluvierstraat, The Hague. Fighting nausea as he examines the body, Visser grudgingly concludes that the death is murder by poison. Which of the motley group of suspects is the killer? The blind woman? The practical jokester? The Italian ex-convict? The English bookie? The scarred railroad engineer? Or could it be the pretty piano teacher? Visser orders them all to stay inside the house as he completes his time-consuming police work. The confinement becomes real when a storm strikes, cutting electricity and telephone. Clues mount and tensions rise, and the murderer among them could kill again. The more clues Visser unravels, the closer he comes to becoming the next victim. ---- I tried to channel Agatha Christie a bit. Okay, more than a bit.
