One year after the events of the defeat of Yaldabaoth, the God of Control, Akira Kurusu, now 18 and a former outcast and leader of the Phantom Thieves, has reverted back to being a normal student. He was framed and put under probation by a crooked politician, but Kurusu gained the ability of Persona to change people's hearts and get back at the politician for wrecking his life, with the help of his friends. Living in his hometown with his parents, Kurusu remembers his days with his fellow outcasts, changing herts and building bonds with them. Thankfully, Morgana, a talking cat created by the man of the Velvet Room, Igor, to assist Kurusu is with him as well. While his parents have an okay, yet distant relationship with Kurusu, and the distance between his friends is large, he still manages to keep in touch with the rest of the Phantom Thieves, missing the good old days with them.
