Darkness can be all consuming.   

It covers us with its heavy presence, sometimes giving us comfort and a place to hide. 

Sometimes it smothers us. 

Sometimes the darkness is of our own making and sometimes it is forced upon us.

However, just when it seems everything is at its darkest, then comes the light.  

Wether we welcome it or retreat further into that darkness is the real test we must face.
