The sweet scent of strawberries filled the dampened early morning sky. The dawn was near as the midnight violet sky began to turn a light shade of blue mixed with an orange hue from the awakening sun. Her scent was enough to make my mouth water as it had so many times before.
My thirst for her was unyielding. After years and years, I would gaze upon her beauty with nothing less than love. The cement balcony grazed my finger tips as my fingers danced along its edge. She had been here only hours before; her scent overpowering as I lingered in the spot. Birds began to sing in the distance signaling the new day to arrive.
My hands were filled with her essence. Her beautiful sweet bloody red essence that flowed through every nook and crany of her body. The sweet essence that kept her alive all these years just for me. It was so quiet I could hear her heart beating rapidly while we stared at each other. I couldn't help but want to reach up and kiss her, and hold her like she deserved. She swallowed her saliva and looked away, a smile starting to form on the corners of her lips. I chuckled, already knowing I couldn't escape her now. I wouldn't be able to.
