When Lilly Evans rejects James Potter for the millionth time, James becomes desperate.
Having been close with Lilly's best friend, Areah, for a while, he goes to her for advice.
"Let's face it," she said. "Lilly despises you. If you're gonna convince her to go out with you, you're gonna have to be a little less James, and a little more... Severus."
Throwing away Areah's advice, he approaches Lilly... again.
"Fine. I'll go out with you, but there's a catch. You have to promise to be kind to Severus from now on. The moment you break your promise, we're through."
