Werewolves.

As a toddler, her father always told Adaira that werewolves were dangerous and barbaric beasts.

Adaira and her mother believed otherwise. They always thought that not all of them could possibly be so harmless.

That is, until fate jokes around with irony, and Asma Gold is found dead, at the hands, or rather, fangs of a werewolf.

But despite that, Adaira, out of the goodness of her heart, never stops believing that even the most dangerous of beasts have a heart of gold.

Adaira proves herself correct, when she bumps into a scruffy looking boy. A boy with a ridiculously obvious secret. At least, to a person with her kind of experience.

And she couldn't help but laugh at how much fate loves toying with irony.
