"I remember the screams, the look of terror on people's faces. I also remember a pair of green eyes, greener than mine, staring into me, full of hope for a lost cause...expecting me to be the hero. I've learned to expect things, the good and the bad...but I never expected this. You don't know how sudden something can occur until it does, leaving you with only so much you can hold onto. I sometimes wonder if I had saw this tragic accident on the news, whether I would look at it like some other depressing story and move one with my life. But this is different. Having to live it, and it staying with you...for the rest of you life. I went from being a normal teenager to a stranded girl with no way home in 2 minutes...those 2 minutes were the longest of life."

"If somebody saved your life and you never saw them again, wouldn't you still remember them? They were in your life for only a moment, yet they left an imprint on your mind that will always be there. Things happen for a reason, things that happen to you, or your friend, or your neighbor, or some dude on the street you don't know. It's all going to affect you, and you're going to affect other people."
