It's not supposed to walk among humans.

A story we've heard for so long that lived in books and movies.

It's fiction. Fairytale. Inhuman.

Yet the howl that comes from deep in the forest tells a different story.

But I can't help feel drawn to it. It haunts my dreams and dances around in my mind. The forest calls to me... I'm scared but I must know.

"You can't get away from me." Sawyer said, a low growl. My blood boiling at the possessive stance despite my skin warming under his touch, his thumb trailing down my back slowly making my eyes want to roll. "You're wrong, I did it once and I can do it again." I barely whisper, a silent war waging in his eyes before his hand disconnects from mine and pulls the back of my neck closer to him our foreheads resting against the other as I place my hands to push him back-only I don't. I lean into him and let my body react to all the things he makes me feel. A slave to the feeling. "You can't hide this. I can tell you want me." He said, my body fighting against my logical mind as his hands trailed up my body, his fingernails trailing up my arms and I fight against him, anger bubbling through my bloodstream as I finally push away but he keeps me rooted in place. "That's the mate bond, or the moon. Just reject me and we'll be free of this. Free to choose. I hissed through hitched breath, his eyes sharpening. "Never."
