Invierno's p.o.v Life in the hospital isn't that great. You feel alone, depressed. And at first you have hope that you can beat cancer. But 2 months later you give up on that hope. It'll feel like your doing the same thing over & over. Appointments every 4 hours. Yeah it's not that great. If you can't sense my sarcasm it was completely and utterly awful . It wasn't until Arthur that I was glad I went to the hospital. He may be clumsy & awkward sometimes but he is Arthur. But you can't find him everywhere. Arthur's p.o.v I'm in the hallway crying, don't judge. If you just figured that you had terminal cancer wouldn't you cry. It's 3:00 a.m. and I'm in the hallway crying like a girl, and I hate it. If someone saw me crying then they would just take pity on me, especially because I have cancer. As I was trying suck it up and wipe away my tears, I look through the glass wall that separates the sick and the healthy people. The people who go to college so they can get a career, and after college they'll get married and have kids. They think they have it hard in life but at least they didn't get their leg or arm cut off because it was infected with cancer. What I'm trying to say is if you have a regular life expectancy or your not taking twenty pills a day be happy in life, go live and don't hesitate, and please never take pity on those who have cancer because you will never understand. I hope I don't sound mean but could you imagine being pulled away from your old life and having shots and pills to take just so you could live. IF you do have cancer, then fight everyday that you have as if it was your last because it just might be. As all the thoughts were gathering in my head I looked up to see a girl in the reflection of the glass. She had big pale blue eyes that caught me off guard and I almost fell out of my wheelchair. I know she could tell I was crying, but I couldn't see any pity inside her eyes. Instead I saw courage and faith.

I'd Like to think I was a good person, before it all began. I didn't cheat on tests, or steal. But throughout my entire life, I was treated if I were a monster. At the age of five, after several agonizing tests, I was diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder. But not even that title could describe just how strange I was. When another kid got hurt, I would cry. Whenever someone else was told a funny joke, I would laugh hysterically. People looked at me as if I were crazy- and for while I agreed with them. That was until I, Caddie Jones, was exiled to Nox Haven Academy, a school for truly special kids. Not the mentally ill, psychotic kind of special but the magical kind. Like witches, vampires, fairies and werewolves. Call me crazy if you want, you wouldn't be the first. But the stories are all true. The supernatural did exist and I was one of them. Life there was cool until suddenly, I was faced with two-faced witches, egotistical princes, hormone driven werewolves, and an army of evil warlocks who were threatening to destroy the world. ... Maybe Nox Haven was a school for psychos after all. ---------------------------------------------------------- Highest Rank: #2 in Paranormal 1st Place winner of The Night Shift's Killer Competition 4/10/16 Illustration by: Stephanie Pitino (www.ClairObscur.fr) (1st book in series)
