A young black woman named Ruby has been trying to keep her family safe and strong ever since her father left. With all the struggles she has in her life and being an African American she struggles to want and find love until a white man named Dave comes around and shows her things she has never tried/ done before. Their relationships brings dangerous consequences because of discrimination but hopefully they conquer together.

(If you read 'Bunny' then you know that towards the end there is a movie plot. I came up with it just so the movie Willow would be in sounded realistic and good but I couldn't let it go so I wrote this book based off of it but with a few changes added after finding out there's apparently already a movie similar to the movie mentioned in 'Bunny'. This story contains true events and is now based on multiple real stories put into one.) "God owes me now and I want it paid back in full." In the south of Mississippi during the civil rights movement, two families seem tied together regardless of how many times they try to break apart.
