Nachdem die 28-Jährige Josephine ihren Suizidversuch überlebt hat wacht sie orientierungslos im Krankenhaus auf und ist mit ihrem Leben konfrontiert. Zunächst einmal schickt sie ihre Lebensgefährtin in die Wüste und setzt sich dann weiter mit sich und ihrer Zukunft auseinander - was macht man nach einem Suizidversuch? Wie macht man weiter? Ein Scherbenhaufen, der sich ihr Leben nennt, macht ihr schwer zu schaffen. Und wer versucht aufzuräumen findet so manchen Schatz, doch Scherben schmerzen und passt man nicht auf, schneidet man sich an ihnen. Da taucht auf einmal diese Mail in ihrem Postfach auf. Zehn Jahre alt und von sich selbst an ihr jetziges, älteres Ich geschrieben. Es erinnert sie an die Leichtigkeit des Lebens, gleichzeitig wirbelt die Mail nicht nur in ihr Postfach, sondern auch in ihr Leben und mischt die Scherben, die sie gerade mühevoll wieder zu ihrem Leben zusammenpuzzelt durcheinander.
