When others are fast asleep, Dawn and Luke wander the streets of their hometown in search of peace and quiet from their demons.
Luke is a transfer student who is joining the school and is forced to face a brand new school. He doesn't sleep at night and spends a lot of time sitting and thinking. Nobody knows him or his past. All they know is his name and his smile. They don't know what lies underneath that expression.
Dawn has lived in this town for over ten years. She's relatively well known at school and people seem to like her. She's one of those people that everybody likes but no-one is really close to. However, since the summer - everybody has been treating her differently. Something has changed. Now she can't sleep, she roams the park in search of peace from her own mind.
Can these kindred spirits find one another? Can they help one another face their demons? Will they find something in one another that they could never find in themselves? Will they ever have a proper night's sleep again?
