Effie Trinket has always loved being a District Escort for the annual Hunger Games. However, she has never really enjoyed being the Escort for District 12. The only thing she enjoys about it is the fact that every year for around two months time, she gets to work with Haymitch Abernathy. She remembers rooting for Haymitch when he was in the games. 

Alcohol is better than people. That is what Haymitch Abernathy thinks. After his games, after losing his family, he started drinking. He would rather get attached to it than people he knows he will get killed. That is, besides Effie Trinket. He has always kept his distance even though it is hard. However, when Katniss and Peeta are reaped for the games and he actually tries for the first time in all his years of mentoring, it brings Effie and him closer.All Rights Reserved
