Joseph's mother passes away unexpectedly, and he is sent to live with his father--a man he has never met. After spending just enough time with his dad to develop an attachment to him, Joseph's dad sends him so far away that the two may never cross paths again. Mystified by his dad's vague motives, Joseph carries his emotional baggage with him into his new life. Joseph wakes up on a park bench with a deep sense that something is amiss. He slowly becomes aware of all the little discrepancies in the unfamiliar world around him, even at the orphanage he lives in. Joseph forms a bond with a fellow orphan, and she becomes his whole world. A wealthy couple adopts Joseph. To his pleasant surprise, the girl is part of his new family, too. The new siblings think their hard times are over. However, things quickly turn sour. When his new sister suddenly goes missing, Joseph is stricken with portentous fear. Years down the line, Joseph and several of his cousins are gathered at a relative's estate to learn about the secretive government operation they will all be sworn into: the Jupiter Project. Every teen present has been reserved a spot on the Stebulon Council, an elite group that oversees the project from a bird's eye view. Joseph learns about the Jupiter Project's founder, Daphne, and how her carefully planned cluster of events--if executed properly--will cause one of nine Heronist gods to be born. This mysterious deity is formally known as "The Creation", and his existence will finally be ushered in under Joseph's guidance. *** a/n: this is book 3 of the Tomorrow's Message series. 1. 10 years into the future four sisters discover they have unusual super powers. While reading the journals of their recently deceased mother she supernaturally speaks to them from the past. (Mary died suddenly due to a newly released hyper-virus by The Powers That Be.) The young women discover not only had their mother been quenching their powers since they were babies but through her journals is now urging them to to do the exact opposite. "Rise up! *You were born for such a time as this." However the recent abandonment by their mother in death and their father in grief has left them struggling as they've been thrust into adulthood overnight. The world desperately needs them. Will they stop bickering and worrying about boys, fashion and proms long enough to save the day? *Esther 4:4 Gifts: Baby in the corner Beth (19) has the ability to draw her heart's desires. She thinks it's only while using her big box of 64 crayons. She doesn't realize the power is in her mind's eye and not her writing implements. Jo (20) can teleport. Of course she doesn't always stick her landings. At first her landings are as messy as is her life. She's lost her mother, her family home, her faith and now thinks she may be losing her mind. Supercilious self-absorbed Amy (17) has the uncanny ability to get others to do what she wants. She says, ever so sweetly, "I'd prefer..." Dad always called it "wrapping others around her little finger syndrome." If she wanted she could ask a perfect stranger to hand over his car keys and he'd have to oblige. The oldest sister Meg (21) has dreams and visions about the world's near future. She's also very intuitive. Perhaps if she were better at seeing her own future maybe her personal life wouldn't be in shambles?
