"I-I live in the dorms," Will insists. His breath is shaky. "I live in Thompson Hall." His chest heaves. His vision swims.
Mike's face changes. The confusion is back.
"Thompson Hall?" he repeats, like Will just said something in a language he doesn't understand.
Will nods. Too fast.
Mike stares at him.
And then-
His expression breaks. His face goes pale. His hands drop to his sides.
And when he speaks again, his voice is quiet.
"Will," he says, "You haven't lived in the dorms since sophomore year."
