In her youth Sansa Stark dreamt of marrying a handsome nobleman and living a fairytale life of love and prosperity, surrounded by children of her own.
But fate was not kind to her. She had been betrothed to or married to a cruel king, a man who preferred the company of other men, the drunken Master of Coin, and a sadistic bastard. And all the while older, sinister men in both armor and fine clothing forced their advances on her.
But in the midst of all of it she found her shinning knight, the one who was meant for her and would protect her like the heroes did their maidens in the songs... And she was Princess Selene of House Baratheon, the only true heir of Robert Baratheon.
This is a game of heartbreak, betrayal, magic, and thrones. This is the tale of the War of Five Kings, the Long Night, and the Bloody Morning. This is the song of Ice and Fire. This the story of how two women, of warring houses, fell in love with one another. But will their love survive these ghastly times? And who will Sansa Stark and Selene Baratheon choose to be loyal to before anyone else: Their family, their kingdoms, their titles, each other...or another?
After Brienne saves Sansa from the malicious control of House Bolton, she brings the girl to The Wall, where she and her brother, Jon, plan to take back Castle Winterfell. Throughout their journey and preparation for the Long Night, Brienne and Sansa develop an unexpected attraction towards one another. Once all the chaos in Westeros subsides, Sansa decides to do something deemed unnatural and deviant to the realm when she announces her betrothal to Brienne of Tarth.
