Princess Katrina and her people, including her parents the King and Queen of the 'humanoid cats' are waging a war against a disease. The rogue disease. They have no idea what caused it, where it came from and what or who can stop it. All they know is that thousands are dying.

'Princess Katrina's head felt like it may explode.
A pure and simple, undeniable fact. 
Unfortunately. She could sense the malice of the impending migraine creeping up the back of her skull. 
She was hardly surprised to sense the unwelcome ailment, what with the constant pounding of war drums and the unrelenting beat of her adrenalin fuelled heart. 
She forced herself to open her sky-blue eyes and look at the bloody carnage around her, sun spots dancing in her vision, from the sudden invasion of light. The sight before her: blood and bodies, mostly from their opposition, but she could see the hint of black leather clad corpses mingling with the rags and red clothes of the rogues, the Kingdoms opponents.
