It had been five years since Balinor had died and three since Arthur had become king. Life in Camelot was surprisingly peaceful until Merlin noticed changes in his appearance. Knowing something was wrong when his magic refused to work or the spells were weaker/stronger than they should have been. When he found out from Kilgharrah what was happening to him he knew he had to leave Camelot until he regained control. He knew he had to find Vivianna to help him achieve his goal. He had been told that this trip might take him several months, but he had no choice if he didn't want to accidentally hurt someone he cared about. Together with Gaius's help, he came up with a suitable excuse for why he wasn't there. However, he didn't expect that his sudden disappearance would have such an impact on his friends because he didn't consider himself important. How do his friends react to his transformation and when they learn the reason why? NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY In early 2021, a series of unrelated, and some might say serendipitous, events led me to discover BBC's Merlin on Netflix. From the very first episode, I was completely hooked. I simply had to see what would happen to these fabulously developed characters. While binge-watching, I avoided searching online for anything about the show, which meant I wasn't at all prepared for the shocking series finale. Granted, Colin and Bradley gave fabulous performances with what they were given, but it certainly wasn't how I expected the series to end. Initially, I truly was in mourning over it, but that gradually shifted to feeling the ending was a "bait and switch" from the buildup over 4+ seasons and I became angry. Really angry. To the point I decided to write my own ending. That's how it started. However, once I began writing, I was so inspired, I quite literally couldn't stop. The following PG-rated stories pick up right where the original series ended (CONTAINS SPOILERS) and reflect how I would have liked events to unfold. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did writing them.

Merlin and Arthur. There never was, nor would there be, a pair quite like those two. Arthur, the Once And Future king of Camelot; and Merlin, the greatest sorcerer of all time. Of course, Arthur doesn't know about Merlin, nor does he know about the way Merlin is starting to feel... In the very beginning, Merlin had realized his love for his master, but then his master had realized his love for Morgana's old handmaid, Gwen. Merlin was heartbroken, but got over it, or at least he told himself that he had. Gwen has just been cast out of Camelot, and Merlin is rediscovering his old feelings for Arthur. Now Merlin has a chance, but will Arthur look at Merlin in the way Merlin looks at him? Only time can tell, but there is very little time for such things now. Morgana is plotting up some evil scheme that will kill Merlin, Arthur, the knights, and take over Camelot. With forces aligning behind her, there's a chance that Morgana may even win. As Merlin struggles to show Arthur his love, all of Camelot is in danger of Morgana's powerful magic. So what happens if Camelot falls?
