**I have been wondering if I should even post this story, it was a work in progress with no real story line, but now that I have one... I want to share it on this channel **
So I had a brother, and a sister. My mother was an addict. And when my sister went to school with a broken unset arm, we were taken to CPS. My brother was boy genius that got adopted right away. He was 15.
My sister and I weren't so lucky. We were forced apart in different foster homes because of the age groups.
She ended up exploring California and not in the best ways.
I stayed in the same North California Area, but being bumped around to other counties.
Now my brother is some hotshot billionaire that I never have contact with... and my sister has died.
And her son... was left in both of our custodies.

The Way We Used to Be
I lost my mom at 11, that's when it started. My dad became a drunk and I was left to take care of my 3-month-old baby sister. I'm just lying here in stillness and darkness wondering why. Why did this have to happen to my mom? We have nothing we can't even afford a house. Here I am a 14 year old boy that lives in a shelter home. Mom says one day we'll get out. But I've lost all hope. And I know my mom has no hope either. If she did I wouldn't have to hear her cry herself to sleep at night. I hate seeing her in so much pain. I wish, I could get a job. Maybe since I'm younger and a boy they'll hire me.
