"It may be true," he murmured feeling defeated.

"Oh please," she said slightly offended "You should know not to listen to school gossip considering you just lost your girlfriend to it."

He narrowed his eyes at her as a sting went through his heart. A false rumor had started, implying that he went around sleeping with other girls and his girlfriend, Louise Jaminson had decided it was time to end their relationship.

  Both of them remained silent.

"Fine, you want to wait until lover boy tells you? Then have fun," venom sipped through his voice as he spoke his words. He was beyond mad "But don't come running back to me when you find out the supposed school gossip is true."

And with that he walked away leaving her in the middle of the hallway.

"That guy is totally checking you out." "Who?" My eyes found Simone's face as a sheepish smirk played on her lips. "That guy. Over there. Wearing the motorcycle jacket." Motorcycle jacket? My eyes followed Simone's gaze across the cafeteria. And there he was. The guy from this morning. I could feel the blush develop in my cheeks. I quickly looked away. Simone gasped, "Are you blushing?" "No I'm not!" I quickly lied. Clearly feeling the heat growing in my cheeks. "He's not even looking over here." "Oh yes he is! He's even coming over." My attention shot in the direction he was and he was definitely coming over here. A nervous expression covered my face as I looked over at Simone. "I think I hear Caleb calling me. Bye!" "Simone, don't........." she was already gone before I could finish my short sentence, "leave." I could feel him getting closer. I placed my phone on the table and started playing with the hem of my t-shirt. Nervous about him coming over here. "Hi." His voice sounded so heavenly. Like Justin Bieber when he's singing. My eyes slowly moved from looking down at the table to his feet and travelled up to his eyes. He stood at the opposite side of the table but it felt like he was closer than I wanted him to be and at the same time I felt like I needed him to be even closer. He was well built with board muscular shoulders just like I thought. He must spend a lot of time in the gym. I can only imagine him without a shirt on. I bet his abs look incredibly sexy. I shook my head at the thought and answered back. "H-hi."

"I didn't ask to be in the middle of your ego-battle," I grumble. Blake pins me to my locker, hands resting on either side of my head. "Well, you got it in anyway, Darling," he whispers. His face is inches away from mine and damn me for licking my lips. I am NOT falling for these guys. And then, at the corner of my eye I spot Owen and his gang approaching. Well, that's just great. *** The West and East gang of Tygerwell have been at each other's throats since the dawn of time. And the two leaders of these gangs want to end the fight, once and for all. But fighting with fists is easy. Fighting with wit and charm, is a whole other ball game. Blake. West-side gang leader. Leather jacket and killer glare. Don't talk back. Owen. East-side gang leader. Fancy coat and toxic stare. Don't resist. And in comes Amber. Hair of gold and oceans in her eyes. Has too much sass for her own good and always, ALWAYS, manages to get into the middle of trouble. But these boys have no idea who they're really dealing with. And when Amber descovers she knows a little too much when it comes to guns and fighting, she has to question everything she thought she knew about herself. Three can play this game. *** "Let's settle this. You got rejected, I got rejected. It's only fair that the fate of the gangs be on who gets the girl first." "That sounds rather good, Rhodes. I'll take that bet on the golden girl." *** COMPLETED FICTION AWARDS: Best new story and best new account Highest ranking in Teen Fiction: #1 on 25/06/2018
