Jiuliana has always lived in Cielgrad, and she had assumed she always would. It's safe there: no plague, no pollution, no criminal activity like down on Earth. Until she finds the notebook her grandmother had hidden in the walls of Jiu's compartment. Suddenly, Jiu realizes that the city she loves and the Leaders she admires might be hiding something.
