Devon Gordain was never popular, even before he found out he was a half-breed omega werewolf. He grew up in the orphanage that his father owned. Devon's mother was a rogue wolf, and Devon inherited his mother's werewolf status. When his best friend, an orphan named Ericca Arquette, turned eighteen and revealed that she was supposed to be the Alpha of the fractured SoulArcher pack, Devon knew that he had to go with her. Devon and Ericca, as well Ericca's little sister and their friends, travel to Elk City, a small town in the middle of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Fredrick Bonhuer always knew that he was never going to be Alpha. His two older brothers were already fighting it out. Instead, he focused on being a scout and with a hobby of making herbal remedies. His father is the current Alpha of the SilverMoon pack, and Fredrick saw what it did to his father; he didn't want that pressure. The SilverMoon pack was one of the closest allies the SoulArcher pack had, so it is the first place Ericca goes when they arrive. It is the first time Devon and Fredrick meet. But it isn't the last. Devon must keep his status as a half-breed a secret from the other werewolves that joined the SoulArcher pack, because it could ruin the one chance he has to feel normal. Fredrick has to find a way to join the newly reformed SoulArcher pack, because it is the only way he will be able to start new.
