"I'm not a soldier," Caspian said with slanted eyes as he stared at the dwarf and stood up tall and regally. "I am Prince Caspian. The tenth." "So it looks like the line continued then," the dwarf said at a slight whisper but loud enough that Caspian was able to hear it. The badger waved the dwarfs comment away though as he looked to Caspian with wide eyes. "By Queen Lucy's grace, what are you doing here?" He asked surprised and confused. "Running away," the prince muttered. ∞ ♕ ∞ One year for them, 1300 years for Narnia. A new age has begun. Since their previous adventure, the Pevensie children, plus Elizabeth, have moved on from their former regal life as Kings and Queens, finally starting to adjust to their new lives back in England after understanding the fact that they would not be returning to the magical world soon. Since their return, Elizabeth would have anxiety attacks due to the new world she was now immersed in, Peter was tending to get into several fights, Susan truly believed that they would never return to Narnia, Edmund often found himself being the one having to break up Peter's fights, while Lucy clung to the hope of returning to their past life. Would he really fall in love with her again? Born beneath a silent sky, Alaska was never meant to be ordinary. The youngest and only daughter of Queen Nalini - a woman born from stars - and King Robb, Alaska was born claimed by love fierce enough to defy death itself. Though cherished beyond measure, she was never heir to the throne. In Telmar, crowns pass to men, and so the future belonged not to Alaska, but to her older cousin Caspian - the rightful successor, gentle where others were cruel, raised at her side like a brother, protector, and constant. Yet beneath the polished stone and ritual of court, rot had already taken hold. Miraz, the youngest of Robb's brothers, had long lived in the shadow of men greater than himself. Where Robb ruled with steadiness and Caspian inspired loyalty without trying, Miraz burned with hunger - for power, for recognition, for a throne he believed the world had unjustly denied him. His ambition festered into madness, and he became willing to sacrifice blood, kin, and kingdom alike to seize what he believed was his by right. Alaska, innocent, sheltered, and painfully unprepared for cruelty, became both symbol and target - a living reminder of everything Miraz could never possess: love, legitimacy, and light. But far beyond Telmar's walls, another thread was being quietly woven. Long before he ever knew her name, Edmund Pevensie dreamed of a girl with white hair and lilac eyes. In moments between childhood and waking, between guilt and redemption, she appeared to him - silent, luminous, aching with familiarity. He did not know why she haunted him, only that she did. Nor did Alaska know why. They were bound long before they ever met - by fate, by promise, by something older than reason.
