Alice was never quite sure since she didn't think of herself as a friendly person. Still, when Danny asked for her help, she refused once, but couldn't refuse twice. Now, while Danny is stuck in her head (somewhat in the sense you're thinking) it's a matter of keeping both of themselves alive while they also learn more about each other and themselves.
Not to mention being caught up in some weird conspiracy, for which Alice is somehow to blame.
Also, Alice might have to kill someone.
