Zaria is The Shadow Thief, notorious because of her magic summon, of her will to not be caught, and of just how many people she has robbed. She lives where fire rules, the Southern Kingdom. Each kingdom, North, East, South, and West is connected to a specific element. People who can manipulate an element are called Summoners, but only about 1/12 of the population can do this.
Shadow Summons are different. They don't have their own kingdom because there is just too few of them. Less than a dozen live on the continent at all times, they have a bad reputation in general due to the legends about them. However, Zaria's situation is a bit different, the fate of the southern kingdom is suddenly given to her after an encounter with The Queen and her phoenix.

A Mage's Wrath

However, not all of the Mages are willing to commit their life to train with the others and help save the mage world. Ignacia, the Elemental Mage of Fire, is the newest and last mage to be Founded and come to the others. Along with easily getting into arguments with Water Mage Salil, she is in an internal battle with herself trying to decide what choice she should really choose to carry through with. *Book originally inspired by "The Burning Sky" by Sherry Thomas.
